This was the wedding celebration of Chris & Michaela, it was an absolute privilege and honour to be such an integral part of this day and capture it’s special moments for the bride and groom to cherish forever more. I have used some of the words from their chosen celebrant, Gemma Jay , to help paint the picture of the perfect celebration and their joyous day at the spectacular Wylam Brewery.

"Chris & Michaela, today we are here to celebrate together with your family, friends and fur babies your commitment to each other as you start a new chapter as husband and wife, to work together to make your lives grow and blossom for the years to come.
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A good marriage must be created.
In marriage the little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you” at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through the years.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is not looking for perfection in each other.
It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humour.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow old.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual, and the obligation is reciprocal.
It is not only marrying the right partner; it is being the right partner.
Chris & Michaela’s relationship has always been built on adventure, laughter, creativity, and a joint understanding of love and respect. Michaela knew pretty early on they were meant to be, but it did take Chris about 4 years and 7 break ups to realise!
They make each other better. More patient. More empathetic. More sensitive. Stronger when it’s needed and more vulnerable when it’s nice to be. They make each other more confident, and maybe a little funnier – although we all know that’s not possible. Their hopes for the future are to continue to travel, start a family and settle in a big house in the country, with plenty of garage space for Chris’ ever growing ‘toy’ collection.
The most remarkable moment in life is when you meet the person who makes you feel complete. The person who makes the world a beautiful and magical place. The person with whom you share a bond so special that it transcends normal relationships and becomes something so pure and so wonderful, that you can’t imagine spending another day of your life without them.
Chris & Michaela, these are the hands of your best friend. These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future. These are the hands that when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching out for yours. Cherish these hands and hold them often.
Chris & Michaela, I ask that you each remember to continue to cherish each other as special and unique individuals and that you each respect the thoughts and ideas of one another. And most of all, be able to forgive each other, and not hold grudges against one another. Live each day in love with each other, always being there to give love, comfort, and refuge to each other, in good times and in bad.
Wylam Brewery is a truly splendid and unique venue for a wedding celebration. Wylam Brewery is located in the scenic setting of Newcastle’s Exhibition Park combining the tranquility of the countryside whilst providing all the benefits of a city centre location. Making Wylam Brewery even more special is the fantastic light, open and airy feel it has with it's huge dome roof letting the daylight flood through.
